NASA has revealed spectacular , newly reprocessed images of four of the most amazing supernova ever catch by a human skill instrument — the Crab Nebula ( top ) , Tycho , G292.0 + 1.8 , and 3C58 — to celebratethe fifteenth anniversaryof the Chandra observatory . I decided to go one step further and gather up them all .
We have detected other supernova , but I have avoided them in this lean because they were either too remote to be take note with this detail(like this one)or they were observe before we had the appropriate orchestration to photograph them at all ( we have a historical disk of them and even drawing of them , but no photos . )
What you could see here are thecomplete collectionof most crucial ever captured by man ’s instrument , starting with the rest of the Modern Chandra series :

Tycho
G292.0 + 1.8
3C58

NASA ’s Astrophysics Division director Paul Hertz say that Chandra has “ convert the elbow room we do uranology . ”
It showed that precision observation of the X - rays from cosmic reference is critical to translate what is going on . We ’re rosy we ’ve had 15 eld – so far – to use Chandra to advance our understanding of stars , galaxies , black holes , dark vim , and the origin of the elements necessary for life history .
The following supernovas were taken by Chandra and/or other scope :

Kepler
RCW86
SN 1006

SN 1054
Cassiopeia A
G1.9 + 0.3

SN 1987A
Sn2006gy
Cygnus Loop

Sig06 - 030
N 63A
W49B

Wolf Rayet WR124is not a supernova — yet . Scientists conceive it is a campaigner and it ’s so spectacular already that I could n’t avoid including it in this list .
The spectacular Eta Carinae , another forthcoming supernova that had to be let in .
My favorite is the Crab Nebula . Or perhaps Cassiopeia A. I do n’t have a go at it . I always have a very unvoiced metre deciding . I just stare at them trying to embrace the inconceivable ability and processes that are photographed here .
