Wi - Fi Assist is still present in iOS 9.3 beta 1 . The difference is a tiny counter underneath the on/off switch to enable Wi - Fi Assist , which say you how much data has been used by the feature of speech .
It ’s not a perfect fix . I ’d still wish some sort of symbolisation in the status bar ( or a drop - down apprisal ) when cellular data is being used over wi - fi . But at least with this comeback , I ’ll be able to see if iOS is really the perpetrator for me pass over my datum allowance , rather than just venture .
