Ayo Edebirigot a little help from her friends — in this case,Carson Daly— as she became a winner at the 2023 Emmy Awards.
The Bearactress, 28, had a relatable moment while accepting her Emmy Award on Monday night when she askedThe Voicehost to help hold her bag while she went onstage to accept her awards.
WhenChristina Applegateannounced Edebiri as the winner of outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series, the actress immediately could be seen closing up her black purse and trying to put it down on her seat before deciding to hand it off to her seatmate Daly, who was ready and willing to help, as seen in avideo posted to X(formerly Twitter).
Daly, 50, appeared to say, “I got it,” while taking her purse in both his hands. Edebiri then turned to give a hug to her costars Ebon Moss-Bachrach andJeremy Allen White, who were also seated near her, before accepting her award on stage.
In the press room later, the actressjoked about her parents being in the “cheap seats” further away from her, which meant she had to turn to Daly to hold her bag.
“Carson Daly still has my stuff!” she shared.

Edebiri had another relatable moment earlier during the event, when she took a moment tohelp out her pal,Better Call Saul’sRhea Seehorn, with her makeup while in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the red carpet.
In the clip, Edebiri, 28, can be seen attentively touching up Seehorn’s smokey eye makeup. Seehorn, 51, appears to say “Thank you so much” as theBottomsstar gives her a nod, signaling that her work is done.
Edebiri was on hand to represent the much-nominatedThe Bear,while Daly was in attendance as part ofThe Voice, which is nominated for outstanding reality competition program.

While speaking on PEOPLE’s pre-show livestream, Edebiri opened up about what it’s been like celebrating her achievements with her “tight-knit “onscreen family, which also included her costar White.
“Exciting is definitely the word and I think we all just feel very grateful,” she said. “We really made the show for nothing with no expectations so to have people receive it at this level both culturally and critically feels like such a blessing.”
