A hot dog diet might be the next new trend, according to content creatorSir Yacht.

The Cleveland-based creator (whose real name is Joey Kinsley) recently set out to eat “nothing but theCostcohot dog meal for one week.” In a viral video he posted on Wednesday, Kinsley, 30, showed the journey he took to eat 29 of the $1.50 hotdogs over a seven day period.

Kinsley said that he ate theCostco-exclusive diet “to see if paying $1.50 for a glizzy and drink was worth it.” Spoiler: It “absof–kinglutely” was.

During the video, the creator compared the $43.50 he spent on a week of food to the $164.82 the average millennial spends, saying that he “balled on a budget.”

“What I’m really gonna miss most is not just consuming glizzies, but spending only $1.50 on a meal," he tells PEOPLE. “That’s something that’s completely unheard of in 2024.”

Plus, the endeavor was a social one. Friends joined the social media star for some meals, according to the video, and they “cheers”-ed hotdogs. Other than his loved ones, Kinsleythanked Tums and Pepto for “saving” him.

Kinsley“couldn’t say enough great things about the staff” at the Costco stores he went to in Ohio. “And whoever prepared the glizzies, I can’t thank you enough for making me a happy camper,” he adds.

In addition to the monetary and social benefits of the seven day-challenge, Kinsley reported that he lost 4.2 lbs. while eating the hot dog meals. “I also might have started a new diet trend. Or I have a giant tapeworm,” he joked in the video.

But he stressed to PEOPLE that he is “not a nutritionist and doesn’t recommend anyone doing this. I also walked 10-15 miles a day, drank a gallon of water a day and took daily vitamins that may or may not have been the Flintstone dinosaur ones."

Costco’s combo meal — a 1/4 lb. beef hot dog and 20 oz. soda (with refill) — has been a popular item for many members over the years. Despite inflation, in 2022, the companycommitted to keeping the snack under two dollars.

“We really don’t look at it that way,” he explained on the call,MarketWatch reported. Galanti said other areas like the gas and travel side of the business do well enough to help them “be more aggressive” in other parts of the store.

“Or … hold the price on the hot dog and the soda a little longer — forever,” he said.
