He also claims that Apple ’s jactitation of “ the humans ’s dark-green laptop ” are without backing information , and that Dell ’s laptop computer demonstrate a greater allegiance to the environment than Apple ’s . And lastly , he mentions Dell ’s recycling political platform , their carbon - neutral construction , and diminution of packaging , and questions whether Apple has achieved any of these end .
This kind of back - and - forth is fun for us , but Pearson ’s claims are as circumscribed and blemished as any fault he finds with Apple ’s television spots . First , Apple is not a in particular transparent company , but have been passably receptive about their environmental development and achievements , as seenhere . Apple also has reduced promotional material , which Pearson ignores , and Dell wasnot capable to fulfill its stated goalof eliminating all PVC plastic and brominated flame retardants as promised .
