Greg Berlanti is ostensibly suddenly - determine on brining the entire DC universe to television . Besides all the heroes and villains who have already been added to Arrow ’s next season , Robbie Amell has just been vomit up as Ronnie Raymond , a.k.a . Firestorm , in The Flash .
Robbie , who is the first cousin of Arrow star Stephen Amell , lately has his schedule free up when The CW canceled his series The Tomorrow the great unwashed after just one time of year . I reckon they like him , though , because he ’s apparently going to fall in the third episode and then be a recurring fictional character . In fact , he was supposed to show up in the archetype , agree to Berlanti , as a S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker who play a persona in the accident that gives Barry Allen his Flash powers .
So with Robbie Amell as Firestorm , Brandon Routh as The Atom , and Devin Aoki as Katana — for starters — the DC idiot box universe is get bigger and better all the prison term . And if The Flash is a hit — and it ’s depend like it will be — I can easy see another DC superhero show or two getting sum to The CW ’s docket in 2015 . Because if Berlanti can add Firestorm to the Christian Bible of Arrow and the Flash he can essentially append anybody ( that Warner Bros. will let him , of grade ) .

Which means we ’re getting pretty close to a Justice League roster here , albeit more of a Justice League International - case bloodline - up than the usual heavy batter . I doubt the CW has the money to devote for a Justice League show — I have in mind , ABC barely has the money for Agents of SHIELD , allow alone a series where half a dozen multitude have especial powers that require singular particular effects — but that does n’t mean they could n’t do a massive , week - long crossover event . The future of the TV DC universe is front as vivid as the top of Firestorm ’s head .
