Hey , so I do n’t know if you translate James Dashner ’s dystopian scifi YA novel The Maze Runner . Hit book , remove picture , big - ass maze demand . Well , the first trailer for the movie continuation , subtitle The Scorch Trials , is here , and I do n’t know what the hell is going on . Also , I ’m pretty sure there ’s no more maze running .

So apparently the world is mostly defunct . And the kids who were pressure to bleed that darn tangle in the first pic have escaped into some variety of prison house - training - facility run by Littlefinger from Game of Thrones ( never a good mark ) . Apparently the maze was just a test to … salve humanity ? Somehow ? Or at least figure out which shaver were going to economise the remnants of humanity by virtue of their maze running skills ? But there ’s more training ? And perhaps the nestling did n’t really get away the mental testing , but being tricked into thinking they escaped the tests is a new part of the test ? And there are thing in jars ? WHERE IS THE MAZE ? I WAS narrate THERE’D BE MAZE running game .

To be wholly true , this all somehow makes more sense in the drone thanthe Wikipedia synopsis forThe Scorch Trials , so the movie has that going for it . The Scorch Trials premieres on September 15th , 2018 .
