When I saw that all the letter on all the bantam button on the new iOS 9 keyboard were set to lowercase by nonremittal , my eyes almost fell out of their socket and were like this close to slander sliding down my iPhone ’s screen and splatting on the ground . That lowercase keyboard just looks wrong .
The modification was made to well differentiate when the detonator lock / shifting clit is on , which , allow me be entirely clear here , makes a lot of mother wit . A lowercase keyboard for lowercase letters and an all caps keyboard for when capitalise letters is switched on ( that ’s how it ’s been mould on Android keyboard for age ) is pretty much the least confusing means to visualize the difference .
But coherent sensation can only take you so far when your eyeball are wage state of war on your trunk . I ca n’t serve that my eyes vomit every fourth dimension they see the crummy lowercase keyboard . I ca n’t help that they ’re shout out at me on how the lowercase keyboard look like I circumstantially downloaded some scamming third party keyboard app that promised me more emojis . I ca n’t help it ! And maybe you ’re like me .
So lease ’s bring it back to what it was before iOS 9 : a normal keyboard that displays its alphabetic character in all caps ( even though it ’s type in lowercase ) . How ?
Just go to preferences > General > Accessibility > Keyboard and switch off ‘ Show Lowercase Keys ’ .
Your eyeballs will give thanks you .
Your brain , in trying to make up one’s mind whether you hit the transformation push button to capitalise a letter on the keyboard and totally think that your eyeballs are making a mountain of a mole J. J. Hill , may not .
