On Friday, the actress, 33, shared a throwback black-and-whitephotoon Instagram of herself with Lisa Marie, who was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, Jan. 12, anddied later that night at age 54.
Keough left a simple message to go along with the photo in her first public statement since her mother, the only child of rock legendElvis Presley, died: “❤️.”
After Lisa Marie’s death, her motherPriscilla Presley(Riley’s grandmother) said in a statement to PEOPLE, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
Priscilla continued, “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
