Sean “Diddy” Combsshared a moving tribute to slain rapperNipsey Husslein the form of a lengthy video, in which he repeatedly urges his “brothers and sisters” to stop being at war with themselves, and begin taking responsibility for their actions.
The music mogul first posted a photo of aWall Street Journalcover dedicated to Nipsey, with a headline reading, “Rapper Wanted His Fans to Learn Job Skills,” on his Instagram story Monday.
He then shared video of a memorial service for Hussle in Los Angeles, where a voice can be heard saying, “Let us stop all gang wars, let us stop all black on black crime, brown on brown crime. This is the first time in the history of Los Angeles that we have stood up when a black man kill another black man. We are saying that crap is done…. Long live the spirit of brother Nipsey Huss.”
The Grammy-nominated rapper, 33, wasshot and killed outside of his Los Angeles clothing storeon March 31.
In Combs’s video, he said he was presenting his point of view from a “black king,” “black man” and “black person” perspective.
“Enough is enough. We have acquired too much knowledge to be in the situations that we’re in,” he said. “First of all, none of us are alone. We came as a tribe. We are a tribe. We’re killing each other. We hate on each other, we give negative thoughts to each other, we don’t know how to support each other.”

Combs added that he’s been brushing up on his history, and reading authors like James Baldwin and watching documentaries in order to learn more about the history of the civil rights era.
“I’m just speaking from my heart that enough is enough,” he said. “Killing somebody, us hurting people, us not treating our women like they’re queens… We’re not understanding the beauty of life, we’re not understanding how we’re brought up as far as love, as far as peace. And we haven’t had no peace.”

He later added that it was up to each individual to accept responsibility for themselves.
“We so special. We can make it out of this, we gotta make it out of this with love,” he said. “It’s not complicated. We gotta make it out of this with love and we gotta fight back. But first we gotta fight back amongst the ignorance and lack of love that we have for each other as brothers and sisters.”
His message was met with support from stars like Marlon Wayans and Christina Milian.
“We are a tribe. I love all of us and always show that love every day,” Wayans commented.
Added Milian, “Thanks for sharing. I think everyone no matter whom, could use hearing this. Happy Sunday.”

The rapper’s older brother Samiel Asghedom told theLos Angeles Timesthat he was with Nipsey in his final moments as he lay on the ground in a blood-stained shirt with bullet wounds in his leg and the back of his head.
He entered a plea of not guilty in court, and hasreportedly hired attorney Chris Darden, who was famously part of the prosecution team in O.J. Simpson’s murder trial, according to CBS LA.
